The handover matters more than the capture
Plenty of tools record things on site. Far fewer get that record to the commercial team while it is still actionable, in a structure their systems can use. The result is an app the site fills in and nobody downstream relies on.

Recording the work where the work happens
Our operational capture work — including the Facit web application — is built on the same premise: figures recorded at source describe what happened, while figures reconstructed at the end of the week describe what someone remembered.
Common questions
Does it need new hardware?
Sometimes, and we scope it explicitly rather than assuming existing phones will do. Where ruggedised devices or scanners are needed that is a real cost and we say so up front.
What happens with no signal all day?
Everything is recorded locally and reconciled when a connection returns, including photos. Conflicts are surfaced for a person rather than resolved silently.
Will site staff actually use it?
Only if it is faster than what they do now. Few taps, large targets and no fine text entry are the design constraints, and we test with the people who will actually hold the device.
